Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

You will participate in the LEAN deployment on the H175 assembly line.
The aim of this task is to participate in the deployment of LEAN on the 175 line.

This deployment will involve the set-up of an assembly line which advances called the flow-line based on an automobile model. This project will take the specificities of each industry function into account and will consist in the optimisation of our processes to reduce assembly cycles and costs and to improve the quality of our products while maintaining a high level of security.

This internship will start on 4th January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your tasks will include:

·  Adapting the current inspection plan to the development of Lean in the assembly process,
·  Supporting this change by the development of a Lean culture and education within the functions of quality,
·  Setting up information session on the progress status of the deployment, as well as the steering of its activity,
·  Involving all quality stakeholders in the implementation of Lean,
·  Preparing or updating procedures to describe the new processes,
·  Taking the costs of non-quality into account to set up action plans and to solve problems.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, university or equivalent (5-year degree), specialising in Production Engineering, Manufacturing.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
