Description of the job
A vacancy for an IT engineering internship has arisen within Airbus Toulouse. You will be part of the Engineering department. The intern will join “Performance Improvement of the Avionics & Simulation centre", responsible for assembling a part of the electronics boards and avionics equipment for Airbus aircraft.
Digitalisation of supervision of the manufacturing process for the electronics board and the product quality reporting is a major challenge for this department, in order to meet the production ramp-up scheduled for the coming years. The challenge will be to automatically control the use in real time of large quantities of data coming from different sources: ERP (SAP), PDM, production equipment, test control means, etc.
The purpose of the internship is to participate in the assessment and prototyping of "Big Data" analysis tools which can meet the following challenges:
· Anticipating and reducing the impact of non-conformities,
· Facilitating the impact analyses and meeting requirements of certification authorities,
· Automatically adapting the control and test level according to maturity of products.
This internship will start in February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
More specifically, you will be in charge of the following activities:
· Analysing the quality of measurements (MSA) of means and resources and the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (TRS) to improve the use of manufacturing and test means,
· Assessing and developing "Big Data" tools in order to meet the challenges described above.
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:
· 2nd year of a Master's degree or 5th year at a university or business school, specialising in IT and information systems,
· Knowledge of "Big Data" analysis tools and methods,
· Familiarity with production management
· An advanced level of French and an intermediate level of English.
