Description of the job
Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for 6-month internship.
The aim of this investigation is to create an estimate reliability of a new structural modelling approach based on results provided by:
· Current global approach (global finite element model)
· Current local approach (virtual testing / refined finite element model) and test results from certification campaign (Nose Fuselage A350).
This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks will include:
· Being familiar with the existing models (global and refined) by analyzing the numerical results,
· Participating to the correlation analysis from test results to identify strength and weakness of the 2 approaches,
· Creating a derivative model from refined model allowing to assess the interest of a new approach limited to linear domain and including simplified structural parts modelling vs. refined model.
Required skills
You are in the 2nd year of a master's or the 5th year of engineering school, university or equivalent specialising in Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
You ideally have an initial experience and you are familiar with object programming and finite element methods.
An experience on mechanical test and correlation will be appreciated.
You have knowledge of:
· Abaqus (Hypermesh would be a plus),
· Python, Vba.
You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
English: advanced level,
French: advanced level.
