Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is developing its ground systems associated with earth observation satellites which are sold to export customers.
These systems are in charge of programming the satellite(s), to maintain them at the station, and to receive and process the data acquired.

In the future, these ground systems may interconnect to form a "virtual" network offering a constellation type capacity to different customers.
An initial demonstrator of the interconnection capacity of these systems is being defined.

The purpose of this internship is to participate in the definition and production of this Web demonstrator.

This internship will start beginning of January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

This position will require security clearance or eligibility for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will perform the following activities:

·  familiarise yourself with the space industry professional environment as well as the Airbus Defence and Space working methods,
·  understand the functional skills of the space industry,
·  implement the new technologies.

Required skills

You are in the 5th year of Engineering school, a Master's degree or university and specialising in IT Engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field and you have the following skills/knowledge:

·  Software development methods,
·  Web application development Web (HTML5, etc.),
·  Agile development method.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills (multi-functional team).

English: intermediate level
French: fluent
