Description of the job

Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

In the frame of GPS signals upgrade (GPS space segment modernization and new Global Navigation Satellite System [GNSS] constellations) and of renewal of Trajectory Measurement Flight Test Installation (FTI) systems, a new project will be launched to modernize current FTI systems and to combine both Trajectory and Inertial measurements systems through coupling and advanced navigation filters.

This internship will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Participating to hardware testing and lab evaluation (both GNSS receivers and Inertial Measurement Unit),
·  Analysing GNSS signal and advanced computations to assess performance and accuracy in lab,
·  Writing documentation (eg spécifications, test reports),
·  Participation to the preparation for flight tests qualification (performance and accuracy comparison between new and previous systems).

Required skills

You are in the final year of an engineering school or a Master's degree at university (5th year), specialising in avionics engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field and good knowledge of GNSS.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level,
French: fluent.
