Description of the job

Airbus Safran Launchers (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

As part of the test process improvement, the System Testing Department aims to develop a unique measurement management tool from their expressed requirements to their processing.
This tool will be applied to environmental tests performed on ground and to experimental measurements performed on the first qualification flights of space vehicle prototypes.
These tests are complex in their dimensions and the means implemented. They use a large number of sensors and require the know-how of different teams from different sectors.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

The objective of this internship is to prepare the specification of a tool which will be used to manage the measurement request, the instrumentation definition, the integration of the chains on the specimen, and the acquisition of measurements during the test and their processing.
Your main task will consist in formalising the existing test process using software which will make it possible in the end to use only one database among the different actors. You will have to produce an overview of the existing software and the software with which this tool shall be interfaced.
You will have to validate the expressed requirements by establishing the instrumentation plan on a concrete example being studied for the Ariane 6 launcher or on another relevant test.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of engineering school, specialising in Aerospace.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
