Description of the job
Airbus (Nantes) is looking for an intern for an internship of at least 6 months.
To secure the increase in production rate of the A350 programme and to reach the objective of decreasing recurrent costs of the plane, the intern will have to lead one/several process improvement project(s).
This internship will start on 4th January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
As the successful candidate with a mechanical background, your tasks will include:
· Supporting the reconsideration of assembly processes in order to reduce the cycles and production costs,
· Following up and implementing industrialisation actions to converge toward targeted cycles and costs.
To carry out these projects, you will work in a multifunctional team.
You will work on model projects such as:
· Transferring assembly operations to the detail parts (internally and to subcontractors),
· Simplifying the assembly processes by creating/modifying processes / tools, negotiating the enlargement of tolerances with the Design Office to take into account the capability of manufacturing processes, etc.
Required skills
You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university for General engineering or specialising in Mechanical engineering.
Ideally, you have initial work experience.
You have skills in the following areas:
· Standard modification management
· Industrialisation of PE/Instal Syst/Ass/EC
· Basic CM for ME
· ME DMU Integration
· Manufacturing engineering basics
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
English: intermediate level
French: fluent / negotiation level
