Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your tasks will include:

·  To produce and draw up quotations and cost estimates,
·  To provide expertise for the analysis of cost factors associated with a specific technology / product in order to facilitate decision-making,
·  Construction of cost models, calculation of cost information and update of all the necessary references,
·  Collection of relevant information to enable the elaboration of cost information (for example estimating, cost analyses, etc.) in collaboration with internal experts,
·  Organisation and conducting of interviews and/or workshops if necessary to clarify requirements and assumptions.
·  Preparation, questioning if necessary and drawing up of a summary of the assumptions required for the production of a cost estimate,
·  In the event of partial input data, generation of consistent assumptions in agreement with all the players.
·  Selection and decision on the cost references and tools/methodology to use.
·  Production and supply of required cost information and evaluation of the associated risks,
·  Identification of cost factors and recommendation of possible alternatives for optimisation of the costs in the context of the available assumptions, references, models and experience,
·  Support with regard to the understanding and acceptance of estimates / cost analyses by all the players.
·  Participation in the harmonisation, development and capitalisation of the cost engineering references/models within your field of expertise.

Required skills

You are in the final year of Engineering School, Business School, University or equivalent (5-year degree), specialising in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Project Management.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You have the following skills and knowledge:

·  Basics in production / industrial engineering,
·  Health and safety,
·  Safety and personal protection.

You are an expert in cost engineering methodology. You are able to maintain and develop the technical knowledge required for estimating costs by interfacing with the various experts.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Intermediate level,
French: Fluency
