Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 5 to 6-month internship.

Airbus develops and produces RF transmission and reception equipment for satellites. The availability of new transceiver components with flexible bandwidth and frequency makes it possible to envisage universal RF equipment.

This internship will start on 1st April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Producing a state of the art of available components,
·  Analysing user needs: number of antennas, protocols, frequencies, bandwidth, performance and constraints originating from both the technology and the space environment,
·  Implementing a flexible transceiver on a mock-up using an FGPA and evaluating it to estimate its performance.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, the 2nd year of a Master's degree or the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Electronics/Microwave, and more specifically in Digital Electronics.

You ideally have some initial experience.

You have skills in the following areas:

·  Telecommunication/signal processing,
·  VHDL.

Knowledge of modelling techniques would be a plus.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent.
