Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

In the context of new activities and advanced European studies, as a Unity 3D developer, you will be working on innovative projects and products in the field of safety.

You will be involved in the prototyping and development of a suite of tools for use in the field of crisis management in the broadest sense. This suite will provide decision makers with a better overall view of a given situation, and will enable personnel in the field to be able to better apprehend their environment, communicate with one another and share important information with the applicable authorities.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your tasks will involve:

·  Maintaining and improving the existing components of each of the tools already available:

o Mapping: layering, geographic references, DTM…,
o Networks: use of Web-Services, events messaging,
o Communication: voice on IP, video streaming etc,
o Arrays of points: display, optimisation, segmentation etc,
o User graphic interface,

·  Participation in the design of new simulation tools, 3D exploration and mapping, remote operation of devices from virtual environments,
·  Prototyping of innovative tools, incorporating the aspects of MMI, 3D, robotics (UGV, UAV), mixed reality (virtual/Augmented),
·  Participation in the development of plug-ins and interfaces between "tools"
·  Participation in requests for proposals and the execution of European and national projects,
·  Participation in new product Industrialisation.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in 5th year at university, specialising in Software development.

Ideally you should have initial experience in this domain with knowledge in the development of 3D software.

You have skills in the following areas:

·  Systems engineering standards,
·  IT and communications,
·  Software development,
·  Architecture design.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Advanced level,
French: Fluent.
