Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 5 to 6-month internship.

Next generation communication satellites will use fast serial links of several Gbits/s. In order to correct transmission errors, the data is protected by error correcting codes: Turbocode, LDPC, Reed-Solomon, etc.

This internship will start on 1st April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Reviewing the state of the art of error correcting IP FPGA at a very high throughput by analysing performances, size and intake,
·  Studying architectures of material adapted to this throughput by synthesising them through high level development tool means,
·  Targeting an architecture on a FPGA material target in order to confirm the performances.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, the 2nd year of a Master's degree or the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Electronics/Microwave Frequency, and more specifically in Digital Electronics.

You ideally have some initial experience.

You have skills in the following areas:

·  VHDL,
·  FPGA,
·  Signal processing.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent.
