Description of the job
Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 5 to 6-month internship.
With the increasing integration of space processors, Airbus is developing a new generation of generic communication interfaces. This interface will provide transparency for the processor of standard communication protocols commonly used in space applications: 1553, SpaceWire or Ethernet.
This internship will start on 1st April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks will include:
· Proposing, after analysis of the communication protocols and interfaces with the processor, a generic architecture for this module,
· Carrying out the feasibility study on a FPGA,
· Implementing this architecture in VHDL and developing the C code of the driver,
· Confirming performances on demonstrator equipment.
Required skills
You are in the final year of engineering school, the 2nd year of a Master's degree or the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Electronics/Microwave, and more specifically in Digital Electronics.
You ideally have some initial experience.
You have VHDL skills.
Knowledge of communication protocols would be a plus.
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
English: intermediate level,
French: fluent.
