Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Your objective during the internship will be to develop a demonstrator in the form of a high-power switching converter. This converter provides a voltage of 350 Volts at 5 kWatts from the solar panels of the satellite. The architecture of the concept and the topology of the converter must be analysed to identify the best solution in terms of reliability, fault management, output and the flexibility required of this power module. It will be necessary to identify and apply innovative solutions to fulfil the requirements.
A prototype will be produced during your internship by Airbus subcontractors working under your responsibility.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be responsible for the testing and validation of this prototype.
The measured performance values will be compared to the required values.
You will be required to use calculation and simulation tools.
Throughout the internship, you will put your knowledge into practice and use specific tools and resources:

·  SPICE electrical simulation software
·  Laboratory measuring equipment: oscilloscope, etc.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree, or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Electronics/Hyperfrequency.

You ideally have initial professional experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level
French: fluent/negotiation level
