Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

The objective of your internship will be to design the architecture of a power sub-system for space application which provides electronic control of a specific item of equipment.
This sub-system includes several switched-mode converters and a sequencing and control function based on a programmable component.
You will have to perform the detailed design of the electronic functions and more specifically of the main converter.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Producing a mock-up and integrating new concepts to be validated in order to simplify manufacturing and revision (and testing)
·  Finding simplifying solutions for some electronic solutions while guaranteeing the performance specified in the customer statement of work
·  Integrating the magnetic components on the Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
·  Contributing to coupling the demonstrator to the equipment
·  Finalising and testing the prototype
·  Measuring performance.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, the second year of a Master's degree or the 5th year of university, specialising in Electronic/Microwave Engineering, more specifically in Power and/or Analogue Electronics.

You ideally have some initial experience.

You have skills in:

·  SPICE (electrical) and FEMM (magnetic) simulation software
·  Laboratory measuring devices: oscilloscopes, etc.).

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level
French: fluent.
