Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 4 to 6-month internship.

Within the context of the RFID project deployment on the Light Helicopter Flight Line, you will be in charge of synchronising the various stakeholders of the project in order to implement a solution (tools + new tool management system) corresponding to the final user needs: flight line operators.

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. This is a microchip system incorporated within each of the tools to ensure the instantaneous traceability of these tools. The RFID cabinets and transportation crates are equipped with a detection/reading system of these microchips.

The aim of this internship is to transfer the Light Helicopter Flight Line to RFID technology (cabinet, transportation crates and tools) in order to verify the completeness of all the tools before each fixed point and each flight. This approach is a part of the prevention plan of FODs that is currently being deployed at Airbus Helicopters and allows the reinforcement of security on-board our helicopters.

You will report to the Industrial Manager of Light Helicopters, in charge of the implementation of industrial means of the assembly line and of Light Helicopter Flight Line.

You will closely collaborate with the project teams:

·  Cabinet suppliers,
·  Transportation crate suppliers,
·  Tool suppliers,
·  Warehouse operators,
·  Flight line operators,
·  Providing support to the flight line,
·  Managers.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

·  Planning the different phases of deployment,
·  Elaborating a solution prototype,
·  Testing and improving the solution,
·  Analysing the use of statistics,
·  Elaborating a solution,
·  Participating in team training,
·  Ensuring the communication and reporting about this project.

Required skills

You have completed a 3-year degree, or are completing a 4/5-year degree in Project Management/Industrial Systems Engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are recognised for your meticulous approach, independent nature, sense of responsibility and your service-oriented mind-set.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
