Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters Marignane is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Background:

·  Airbus Helicopters is implementing as one of its essential management practices, visual management. Within the NH90 Chief Engineering team a pilot project has been launched to define a system answering to the needs for day to day management (team, activities, performance, problems):

o At local team level
o Across the different departments up to the Chief engineer

·  Taking into consideration the complex environment of the NH90 and the many involved entities, a clear need has been identified to improve information sharing between the different NH90 project departments and its main stakeholders (Lead functions, program, production, support) regarding organization, tasksharing, processes, status & and planning information of the different development projects, etc.

Your role will be to support in interaction of the different NH90 project department leaders:

·  The implementation of an Integrated visual management (VM) system for the NH90 Chief engineering organisation,
·  The deployment of an intranet based central NH90 information sharing system at NH90 project level (using the sharecopter tool).

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Familiarizing yourself with general Airbus Helicopters VM principles and NH90 project specific VM topics,
·  Implementing the NH90 project VM practices,
·  Implementing the routines for regular monitoring of the Key Performance Indicators and update of VM,
·  Preparing a 'how to use' description for the NH90 project VM,
·  Familiarizing with the Airbus Helicopters intranet and the sharecopter tool,
·  Defining the layout, implementation and regular update of the future NH90 project information sharing system,
·  Preparing a 'how to use' description for the NH90 project information sharing system.

All activities need to be performed in close co-operation with the relevant contributors both NH90 project team internally and externally.
The activities will allow you to develop an insight in all relevant information related to engineering project management and exchange with the key stakeholders.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university an engineering school specialising in Engineering / General Engineering and Project Management.

You ideally have initial experience in the domain.

You are a good team player and and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level,
French: advanced level.
