Description of the job

An internship position in data Analytics for deliverable qualifications in Aeronautics has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the Quality Engineering Flight Physics department.

Flight Physics CoC is made up of the following domains: Aerodynamics, Loads & Aeroelastics, Mass Properties, Aircraft Performance and Flight Dynamics and Simulation. These domains actively and effectively participate in the optimization of Airbus products global design and components design features throughout their life cycles.

The Quality Flight Physics Domain (QEG) is in charge of leading and driving the Quality Management System for the CoC and also ensures the role of Process Quality Manager for the Overall Aircraft Design process.
In that context, QEG is involved in:

·  Process Management and Performance Measurement
·  Deployment of operational quality on programs where the Flight Physics CoC is involved

Airbus has decided to deploy a new IAQG standard, the APQP (Advance Program Quality Plan), in that context QEG wants to deploy it. One of our challenges is in the early phase of the Overall Aircraft Design feasibility in order to ensure right first time of data and to ensure the de-risking of downstream processes (structure mainly).

As the Flight Physics CoC delivers lots of digital data, we would like to evaluate what is the data that could be could use for the APQP and the evidence of the V&V (Verification and Validation) process.

This internship will start beginning of February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within this context, your responsibilities will include:

·  Setting the APQP (Advanced Program Quality Plan) standard in order to de-risk the Overall Design Configuration at the early phase (MG3) of a new derivative Program,
·  Making the proposal for a Digital application.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of a university or engineering school, specialising in aeronautics and/or mathematics,
·  1st experience and/or good knowledge in data analytics,
·  Good knowledge of physical and mechanical aeronautics,
·  Good communication skills,
·  Team player,
·  Autonomy,
·  advanced level of English and French.
