Description of the job

Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

In the frame of the new activities of Airbus on Big data & Advanced Analytics used in Configuration Management (CM) domain, you will be involved in the Predictive Analytics project in order to develop new ways of value creation using these new innovative approaches.

You will be attached to the department of Configuration Management Centre of Competence and you will join the team to define concepts and develop new Big Data & Analytics Tools which will be used in the Change Process or Product Identification data scope.

This internship will start on 1st, September 2016 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Understanding the business need and the problem statement, and develop new business opportunities and use-cases,
·  Working in close collaboration with the team in charge of defining concepts and statistic algorithms,
·  Collecting information: new sources to be identified and understood, methods for acquiring information/data, etc.
·  Prototyping and studying various algorithms for Big Data and integrating the solution finally selected,
·  Employing prediction techniques prevalent in Big Analytics approaches & Visualisation of information,
·  Producing deliverables such as Proofs of Concept, Guidelines and Communication,
·  Assisting team in implementing community management.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's or the 5th yer of engineering school, university or equivalent specializing in mathematic / statistic & IT engineering, software, telecommunication and data management.

You ideally have initial experience in this domain.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English and French: negotiation level.
