Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Within the Airbus Defence & Space launch vehicles industrial division, the production site at Les Mureaux and Kourou ensures the manufacturing of mechanical and composite structures and the final integration of the Ariane 5 launcher.

This internship will start on 1st March, 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will report to the head of the mechanical production unit at Les Mureaux, and your main tasks will be as follows:

·  Steering the major improvement project of the unit in terms of deadlines and cost
·  Drawing up an inventory of the 5S areas already in place in the workshops
·  With each workshop manager, creating a Lean and 5S vision of each workshop
·  Implementing Lean and 5S in all the workshops, involving the operators in the entire process
·  Supporting the unit's managerial team in implementing managerial routines (SQCDP, gemba walk, process confirmation, etc.).

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree, or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Production.

You ideally have initial professional experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level
French: fluent/negotiation level
