Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern (m/f) for at least a 6-month internship.

The role of the manufacturing centre for dynamic assemblies is to manufacture, purchase and assemble the components required for the delivery of helicopter transmission and rotor components.

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the Mechanical department, your internship will be composed of 2 tasks:

1 - DEPLOYMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF RELIABLE VISUAL CONTROLS

·  Understanding the sensory metrology method and existing pilot cases
·  Deploying the method on the entire production line, creating standards and training operators,
·  Implementing the metrological organisation for maintenance over time.

2 - APPLICATION OF LEAN SIX SIGMA METHODS to the Composite Material Mechanical Engineering department:

·  Using the indicators in place to identify opportunities for improvement,
·  Applying the DRIVER method (or DMAIC or PDCA) to the selected subject in accordance with the division manager
·  Assisting the operational agents (Production, Design Office, Quality and Methods) with the problem-solving process
·  Ensuring the escalation of information (critical information, modifications, malfunctions) and the solutions given
·  Ensuring the durability of the new organisation in place.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, university or equivalent (5-year degree), specialising in Mechanical Engineering/Quality/Methods or Industrial Engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
