Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

You will join the commercial tender validation & support team and will be in charge of:

·  Assisting with financial tender-related activities and contributing to calls for tender and the submission of commercial proposals,
·  Assisting the commercial teams with the drafting of business plans,
·  Promoting and assisting with the use of the commercial proposal drafting simulation tool.

This position will require security clearance or being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

This internship will start on 27th February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

On the one hand, you will ensure operational and financial assistance with tenders. Your main tasks will include the following:

·  Ensuring specialist coaching and assistance with the use of the cost simulation tool,
·  Contributing to the calculation of costs, target margins, sales prices and related financial analysis,
·  Participating in the risk and opportunities analysis of the project,
·  Assisting with the creation of Business Plans.

You will also work on a cost / price / cash flow simulation tool. You will conduct the deployment of the tool dedicated to commercial proposals as part of a project which covers all the fields of the financial department in interface with:

·  the project team (purchasing, Information system, methods & tools),
·  the IT system department (solution, network, database, distribution),
·  the software solution supplier (instructors / developers),
·  the users (Commercial, Program, engineering).

Required skills

You are in the second or third year of a management school, completing a Master's degree or at university (5th year), specialising in finance or management control.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You have advanced skills in Excel and Powerpoint. An interest in the IT world, technological products would be a plus.

You have the following qualities:

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

English: advanced level,
French: fluent level.
