Description of the job

Three internship positions in Characterisation of Detectors and Detection Chains (m/f) have arisen within Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site.

These internships will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility) for a period of approximately 6 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Understanding the operation of the detector to be characterised and the associated physical principles
·  Understanding the operation of the detection chain (implementation of the detector and digital chain of the detector signal)
·  Setting up implementation and characterisation means
·  Developing detector implementation procedures and software
·  Developing processing software for acquired data to determine the performance of material being tested
·  Performing characterisation tests, exploiting data and writing synthetic report of tests

Required skills

·  You are currently enrolled in the final year of an engineering school or university equivalent (5-year degree), specialising in Electronics, Physics, Instrumentation
·  Knowledge of: electronics, IT, optical/measure metrology, solid physics is required.
·  You have an intermediate level of English and French.
