Description of the job

A vacancy for an internship in Avionics Mechanical Architecture Optimisation has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Mechanics & Qualification department.
This internship will start beginning of January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the mechanical team, in the Avionics products department, you will be responsible for the vibration studies of avionics computer electronic boards to reduce the space allocated between cards. The final goal is to improve the integration of these computers.
This study will be done by simulation and based on results; tests will also need to be performed in order to correlate the model with reality.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  In a 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university or engineering school with a specialisation in mechanical engineering,
·  Good knowledge of vibration theoretical concepts ,
·  Knowledge of the module ProMechanica from software Pro/E ,
·  Ideally, some knowledge in thermal engineering,
·  Advanced level of English.
