Description of the job

An internship in artificial intelligence technologies applied to aircraft technical data (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Blagnac.

You will join the Technical Data Support and Services department which is responsible to write the manuals that explain the operation of the aircraft, manuals that are used by the crew and the people that repair the planes.

You will work on the artificial intelligence, the digitalisation to make the most of the tools, products and process.

The objectives of this internship is to transform data into actionable insights for product performance, business and market intelligence; operational diagnostics and prognostics

This 6 months internship will start from September/October 2017(date subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Understand the business requirements, and identify an appropriate analytical model and/or tools to apply towards solving it;
·  Extract and integrate data of different formats from various databases/data-stores;
·  Implement analytical models to identify meaningful patterns or trends from complex data sets and types;
·  Design and handle the machine learning pipeline;
·  Analyse and improve the performance of implemented algorithms/models.
·  Communicate findings through effective and easy-to-understand data visualisations; Data exploration and identification of further information / data required to generate further business value.

Required skills

·  You are in Bac+5 degree level (or equivalent) in General Engineering or IT
·  You master the use of Python and Hadoop (or equivalents)
·  An experience in the deployment of solutions based on artificial intelligence and Big Data technologies would be a plus
·  Knowledge in project management would also be a plus
·  Soft skills : synthetic, open minded, initiative taker and good at communicate
·  Negotiation level in English / French would be a plus
