Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6 month internship.

The Eurostar E3000 telecommunications platform has proven its performances and reliability with more than 100 years of cumulated flight time. In the frame of the new EOR (Electrical Orbit Raising) mission, the Eurostar platform evolves with new functionality.

This induces a number of modifications in the AOCS simulator used for validation and performances assessment: new equipment models, new AOCS modes (NMA, sun acquisition), new on-board Software function, new TM/TC interface...

This internship will start on 1st February 2017 or on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

In this frame, you will start by reviewing the existing AOCS simulator and identify the modification to be completely representative of ADCS Mk2 baseline. You will then implement and validate the modifications, under Matlab/Simulink.

In addition, a specific focus will be set on the compatibility of the simulator design with respect to autocoding guideline.

You will work within the AOCS studies department for programs under development, in close relationship with the AOCS team in charge of Geostationary activities.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's or the 5th year of engineering school, university or equivalent specialising in Aerospace Engineering.

You ideally have an initial experience in this domain and you have competencies in dynamics of the satellites and general mechanical engineering.

You have a good knowledge of:

·  Matlab and Simulink,
·  Signal processing, Control systems.

A knowledge of Spacecraft dynamics and space environment would be a plus.

You are a strong team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: negotiation level,
French: negotiation level.
