Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters Marignane is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will work within the Airbus Helicopters Information and Services consultancy department.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the Customer Support and Services department, you will belong to the Information and Services consultancy department, working in close relation with the Connected Services division.

Your main tasks will be as follows:

·  Collection of needs, development and support for the analysis of data in order to identify the needs of departments, in collaboration with the mission managers (business process heads, data collection team, information management team, Customer Support team). This activity will enable managers to monitor and improve commercial activities, by providing reliable information facilitating decision-making,
·  Collection and analysis of needs to define an operating case and the necessary data,
·  Defining solutions,
·  Elaboration of specifications,
·  Creation of data transfer guides to facilitate infrastructure management for the analytical system,
·  Contribution to the creation of data models, incorporating multiple data formats and sources,
·  Extraction and pre-processing of data to ensure reliability of the prototype,
·  Application of simple and advanced statistical and analytical methodologies such as factor analysis or predictive models,
·  Development of a semantic layer, metadata, ratios and definition of ratios,
·  Online identification of department needs,
·  Testing and documentation of new analytical ratios or any modifications,
·  Design and implementation of training intended for the end-user, as well as the training media,
·  Participation in the transfer of knowledge for the integration of Google Analytics in the operating mode,
·  Provision of support for the industrialisation phase.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in statistics and econometrics.

Ideally you should have experience of analytical development tools such as Python, SAS, Spark.

Your experience on R is essential.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Intermediate level,
French: Fluent.
