Description of the job

Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 6-month placement.

If you are interested in innovation in the aeronautical field, this internship could be for you. It is offered by the Airbus Design Office "Flight Operations & Cockpit" department.
Incidents concerning near-collisions between aircraft using the same runway are reported regularly. Their frequency is likely to increase with the volume of traffic, hence the need to develop preventative measures.

This internship will be available from 1 February 2017 (although there is a certain degree of flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Developing a model for conflicts between aircraft, the relevance of which will be checked using a series of operational scenarios.
·  Later on, the tool will be used to firm up the function's requirements in discussions with pilots.

Required skills

Candidates should be in their final year at an engineering school, be Master's students or university students (5th year) specialising in logistics.

Ideally, you already have some initial experience.

You have the following qualities:

Candidates must be comfortable working as part of a team and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Intermediate level,
French: Fluent level.
