Description of the job

Airbus Blagnac is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship. This internship will start in January/February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

In order to reach its vision, Airbus Technical Data has setup a portfolio of projects aiming at improving its processes and products.
The process consists in defining the products, authoring the content, assembling the Technical Data and delivering the Technical Data Products to its customers.

The Technical Data Products include all manuals and technical data required for the flight operations, maintenance and reparation of any Airbus aircraft.
The Technical Data Products are provided to the Customer during the aircraft delivery and regularly (monthly, quarterly) after updates (revisions).

The objective of this mission is to define and implement the means that will help to:

·  Better understand the customer processes linked to the usage of Technical Data Products (behaviour analysis in order to identify the frequently used manuals and/or technical data; browsing path, document units used...),
·  Adapt internal processes in order to fit to the customer needs (align internal resources to user needs),
·  Drive and monitor the process performance and the product quality (improve verification & validation activities).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Contributing to the definition of means that will help to better understand the customer profile (this will require customer data analysis and extraction of useful information to be used for building Technical Data Customer profile),
·  Extracting and visualizing data for management (data visualization, report),
·  Analysing internal process results (lead time, non-conformities, completeness...),
·  Using data analytics tools for data discovery (process data, process performance data...),
·  Industrializing the reports useful for decision taken during Technical Data process implementation.

Required skills

·  You are in the last year of a Master's degree in Computer Science / IT / Information Systems specialising in Data Analysis and looking for a 6 months internship.
·  Good knowledge of Statistic Methods, Data Analysis, Data Modelling.
·  Good knowledge of Data analytics methods and tools (predictive analysis).
·  Experience programming in Python or R.
·  A first experience working on mathematical models, data analysis, defining trends and proposing models to help decision making would be a plus.
·  You are autonomous, proactive and are recognised for your analytical and synthesis skills.
·  You have a negotiation level in French and intermediate level in English.
·  Proficient with the Microsoft Pack Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and in IT tools.
