Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 4-6 month internship.

It is an exciting time to join the Information Management (IM) Team. IM is the Information Technology (IT) business enabler and unique IM Business Partner for Airbus Defence and Space.
As a central function, IM is involved in all business processes and enables technical as well as management careers. IM covers a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies and positions ranging from IT infrastructure, application support to governance or strategic consultancy. Especially for young talents IM offers best conditions for a successful career in an advanced and forward-looking environment.

Working in IM means living global trends (developments) such as digitalization, innovation and a new way of working. Agile methodology for development should be enhanced with the corresponding deployment strategy, practices and tools.

With information systems, the traditional deployment methods slow down the agile development of their parametrisation and customisation.
How deploying efficiently and reliably the software on several platforms? Is DevOps implementable? Could cloud computing enhance the deployment agility?

You will join the Information Management Team and especially the "Architecture, Technical Backbone Management" department, specialized in PLM systems.
The PLM system (Product Lifecycle Management) is the one of the most critical management information systems, as it is the backbone enabling the end to end follow-up of our space products, from customer requirements to the product delivery.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

In this context, you will be in charge of investigating solutions, open source or proprietary, and developing a proof of concept.

Your main tasks will include:

·  Specifying the user needs,
·  Investigating, analysing and comparing different solutions,
·  Designing and developing a proof of concept.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's or the 5th year of engineering school, university or equivalent specializing Information Technology.

You ideally have initial experience in this domain and you have competencies in Information Systems and in project management.

You are autonomous, enjoy working within a team and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: intermediate level.
