Description of the job

A vacancy for an internship in Aeronautical Engineering – Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will join the AOG Support department within the Airbus Technical AOG Centre (AIRTAC): for more information, please click on the following link: http://videos.airbus.com/search/?q=airtac&x=0&y=0

You will lead the project which aims at delivering a database of typical AOG requirements for reports both on structures and systems engineering topics and will ensure that the data is the minimum requirement on AOG context for reporting only and doesn't supersede or interfere with available Airbus tech data and tools.

This internship will start in January 2017.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Consulting the AOG support team members and Engineering support teams, when necessary, to identify eligible cases on systems and structures AOG reporting,
·  Gathering the cases within a database and creating reporting templates/guidelines,
·  Building a spec that may support the development of an app (either on smart phone or tablet),
·  Participating in weekly reviews with the tutor or the HO AOG support reporting project status.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  You are in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university or engineering school, specialising in Aeronautics,
·  Good knowledge of structural and mechanical engineering,
·  Ideally, knowledge of airline operations, engineering and maintenance activities,
·  Some knowledge of database development.
·  Synthetic mind-set to understand the technical requirements and to summarise them in a synthetic and visual way,
·  High interest in working with high tech and mobile applications would be a plus,
·  Independent.
·  Practical mind-set,
·  Creative and keen on new technologies,
·  Meticulous and synthetic,
·  Advanced level of English, French would be a plus.
