Description of the job :
A chance has arisen for a Configuration Engineer within the Airbus Zephyr Programme. You will co-ordinate the active Zephyr Configuration Management system and support changes to accommodate an expanding business.
You will join TUMZ-TL1 – Zephyr Product Assurance team.

Task & accountabilities :
Working within diverse development teams you will

- Ensure delivery of the evolving digital Configuration Management system within the Programme

- Evolve Configuration Management processes towards , standardised and scalable system to support our needs

- Engage with your partners to ensure process changes are understood and adopted as part of the evolving business culture

- Manage the transition of an end-to-end design from existing legacy systems into a centralised Product Lifecycle Management tools

- Provide Configuration Status Accounting reports

- Help educate staff with the use of Configuration Management tools and practices

- Ensure that Configuration Management is performed observing required standards

Accountabilities

Reporting to the Head of Product Assurance, you will work with Systems Engineers and Manufacturing for the control of design changes and baselines Alongside Project Managers delivering the Configuration Management System outputs (e.g. baselines, Indicators, datapacks)

Required skills :
- Experience using Windchill, SAP and Subversion is desirable
- Excellent understanding of engineering lifecycles and associated tools
- Experience working in the space/aerospace industry sectors
- A degree in Science or Engineering desirable
