Description of the job

An internship position within Materials and Processes Engineering (M&P) has just opened within Airbus Defence & Space division of Airbus, in Toulouse. The candidate will integrate the TEIM (M&P) team within the TEI department (Engineering Integration).

Tasks & accountabilities

This mission aims at linking Materials & Processes data with other design and production tools or processes in the frame of digitalisation activities such as:

·  Databases (current activities with Airbus Civil and Helicopters)

·  CAD tools e.g. Catia

·  Hub page

The mission can be split in 2 major activities:

·  1 : analysis of as-is situation related to M&P data

·  2 : choose one example and make a feasibility study (pilot case)

Activities details:

·  1: analysis of as-is situation:
 Existing or non-existing links between tools
 Technical possibility of linking tools together
 What prevents from doing it (resources, mind-set, technics, …)
 Attend 1 or 2 meetings to be aware of existing situation

·  2 : choose one example and make a feasibility study (pilot case)
 Putting data on hub page
 Improving link with CAD tool

Required skills

The candidate will be in 3rd year Engineering degree focused on Materials and Processes

·  Good use of CAD Tools i.e. Catia V5 would be ideal

·  The candidate will be liaising with different Airbus departments and partners, so good social skills are needed

·  Advanced English level (written and spoken) is required
4 Month internship will start from March/April (Date subject to some flexibility).
