Description of the job

Airbus Safran Launchers (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join the unit responsible for pre-projects at the Airbus Safran Launchers (ASL) site at Les Mureaux. You will be working in the context of cost engineering for launcher pre-projects. You will work in close collaboration with the engineers responsible for the design of launchers during the pre-project phase and the engineers involved in cost engineering.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Among others, your tasks will include:

·  Elaboration of the equations for simplified cost models of reusable or expendable launchers,
·  Development of the corresponding cost models, interfacing in particular with the design tools and the costing tools in liaison with the teams concerned,
·  Modification of the design tools to take into account the reusability aspects,
·  Operation and validation of the models.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school or a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Aerospace Engineering.

You have knowledge in:

·  Systems engineering,
·  Modelling,
·  Pre-projects,
·  Costs.

Ideally, you have initial work experience.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: Advanced level,
French: Fluent.
