Description of the job
Two vacancies for an Internal Consultant (m/f) have arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt.
You will join Airbus Defence & Space Consulting, attached to the Corporate Secretary, supporting the whole division with management consulting services.
Teams are based in France (Elancourt and Toulouse) and in Germany (Bremen and Munich) and working for all functions and in any location.
Airbus Defence & Space Consulting is transforming in order to be able to address a large part of ADS management consulting needs by 2020.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks & accountabilities
As a consultant in our team, you will bring your professional experience and specific competences to add value for our internal customers.
You will be working as a management consultant, in practices that are relevant for Airbus Defence and Space Inhouse Consulting such as Business & Strategy, Project Management, Operational Excellence, Organization & Change Management, Supply Chain Management.
You will use your ability to fully focus on your customer's needs, to adapt & transfer your expertise as well as the one of your colleagues into business oriented solutions.
In your missions, your tasks as a consultant will include:
Networking, marketing & search for business opportunities,
Diagnosis of customer situation,
Support to proposal preparation and negotiation,
Independent handling of work package: Launch, structuring and delivery of your work package, synthesis of results, recommendations and implementation planning
Active participation in internal initiatives for further development of Inhouse Consulting.
Working in a flat, distributed and agile organization, you will take on additional roles (e.g. marketing, projects leadership, offers development) as your experience evolves and as the business case of the unit requires.
We expect you to use your stay (3 to 5 years) in our organization as an opportunity to deepen your consultancy skills and to learn more about the businesses of Airbus Defence and Space, before transitioning to another function, in a management role, within Airbus Defence and Space.
This role will involve frequent travel for business, once a week in Europe/worldwide, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Required skills
You will bring to the job your competences in the following areas: Structural thinking, financial analysis, Change management, Communication, Project management, Stakeholder management, think out of the box, Consulting business model, Manage and Lead.
• Educated to a master's degree,
• At least 3 years’ experience in Management Consulting in the above mentioned practices,
• A work experience in the aerospace industry is a plus,
• Personal professional network and willingness to use it in our business development activities,
• Broad cognitive capabilities and openness for new business situations and challenges,
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, quick thinking, creativity,
• Good Capabilities in communication (verbal & non-verbal), moderation & organization,
• Flexibility to work in different and changing teams operating in a geographically distributed environment,
• Ability to work in a team, in a flat and agile organization and to work under pressure,
• Negotiation level of English, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
