Description of the job

Airbus Group Innovations (Suresnes), is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Within the Image Processing and Computer Vision research team of Airbus Group Innovations, you will design and develop interactive demonstrators illustrating the capabilities of several in-house real time and offline components based on computer vision technologies. Topics of interest may encompass UAV video exploitation, augmented reality (3D localization) and 3D reconstruction.

This internship will start on the 1st of February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your mission would include:

·  Gathering needs and constraints from existing algorithmic components, architectures and research projects roadmaps and design choices through discussions with the team members,
·  Identifying and designing demonstrators, with a strong focus on user experience and computer vision assets showcasing,
·  Identifying commonalities between these demonstrators to develop a modular development approach,
·  Recommending a selection of software libraries (GUI, communications) and frameworks as well as associated hardware devices,
·  Proceeding to the detailed design, development and validation of the demonstrators (including for example access to large visual databases, connection to live video streams or simulation engines, use of interactive devices such a multi-touch surfaces or tablets, etc.),
·  Contributing to the internal promotion of the platform (through tutorials, presentations and documentation).

Required skills

You are in the last year of an engineering school, master or university (5th year) and your specialty is computer science.

You have specific competencies in:

·  Architecture and software design,
·  Software development (C/C++/Java, multiple operating systems, communications, hardware integration, mobility is a plus),
·  3D and computer graphics software development (Unity framework for example),
·  UX/UI design and development,
·  Image processing / computer vision (optional),

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
