Description of the job

Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for a 3 to 6-month internship.

The objective of your internship is to manage the development of a dashboard applicable to Standard Service Bulletin (SB) programmes activity. The production of this dashboard based on multiple source data available in tabular format will be fully automated in order to ease the production of monthly reports in a standardized format.

The dashboard shall provide a synthetic overview including evolution trends reflected in an easy-to-read graphical and/or tabular format, for the following scope of activity:

·  Volumes : A/L queries, SB revision, SBCB, SB airworthiness approval, etc..
·  Performance : response time, rate of TRM data completion, customer satisfaction, etc…
·  Quality : main causes for contacting Airbus, revising SBs and rejecting SB at airworthiness approval, distribution by ATA, aircraft program, etc.

This internship will start on 3rd April 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will include:

·  Gathering user's requirements through dedicated interviews;
·  Creating of a static prototype to ensure that all needs are addressed and understood;
·  Establishing a corresponding written specification in line with GPP methodology. This specification will be used as a basis for a larger Business Requirement Dossier in view of future tool developments;
·  Developing a corresponding prototype (excel and/or Business Object based) to automate the production of these reports.

Depending on duration of placement and time taken for developing this monitoring tool, a second development will be proposed. The objective will be to automate the production of SB planning synthesis. This second subject will require the same competences.

Required skills

You passed a DUT (Bac+2, two-year technical college degree) in Information Technology, or you are in the 1st or 2nd year of a Master's degree, specialising in Information Technology.

You ideally have initial experience and you have the following skills & competences:

·  Advanced knowledge of standard IT office tools such as MS Excel,
·  Ability to provide synthesis and to make proposals;
·  General engineering knowledge.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent level.
