Description of the job

A vacancy for an Intelligence Digital Platform Cloud Designer (IDP) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join TCIFG.
The INTELLIGENCE business cluster of Airbus DS CIS (CIS-INT) has triggered the “Ground Earth Observation Digital System“ program (GDS) to renew of its existing geo-information production & exploitation solutions in order to improve its operational efficiency and the quality of the delivered services.
A significant part of this program consists in developing a Digital Platform on the cloud to support new performing geo-information services. This “Intelligence Digital Platform” (IDP) has started to be developed and deployed on Google Cloud Platform in order to give access to data in streaming and to processing and analytics.

You will be in charge of helping setting up development team on GCP and providing expertise on GCP.
You work in close collaboration with the IDP development manager and the IDP Architect.
Within the CIS-INT organisation, you report to the Head of GDS department.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will contribute to the development of the Intelligence Digital Platform and your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Supporting the IDP Architect in:

·  the detailed design of the architecture of the IDP on Google Cloud Platform
·  the design of the evolutions of this architecture to propose new functions and accommodate new services
·  the design of the interfaces with other digital platforms on the Cloud to host or aggregate services with partners

Supporting the CIS-INT development teams in:

·  The design of new functions or components for IDP
·  Recommending best practices of Google Cloud Platform
·  Ensuring development rationalization and compatibility with private clouds

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent),in Information System or a related discipline,
·  Very good knowledge of Google Cloud Platform,
·  Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch,
·  Knowledge of Java and Golang languages,
·  Experience in continuous integration and agile development,
·  Knowledge of Earth Observation systems (functions, performances, operations),
·  Synthetic, rigorous and consistent,
·  Proactive and good communication skills,
·  Team player,
·  French: fluent,
·  English: fluent.
