Description of the job

A vacancy for a Hydromechanical Systems Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Blagnac. You will join (SEEL) Hydromechanical Systems Department.

Within the framework of Airworthiness Authority regulations, in agreement with SEE management policy and procedures:

·  You will provide engineering assistance to the customer, ensuring timely responses of good quality and with on-site assistance where necessary,
·  You shall monitor in-service events, identify potential impacts and launch the appropriate corrective actions with the relevant design organisation,
·  You will also ensure the required level of progress and follow-up,
·  You will ensure feedback of in-service experience, maintenance activities and significant issues to management, the design organisation and vendors.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Providing technical stand-by (AOG) assistance,
·  Answering all technical queries raised by the Customers within the defined time scale,
·  Analysing all in-service events to identify potential impact (including airworthiness, reliability, cost, etc.), launch and progress all actions necessary to find the cause of the events and initiate/follow-up development of corrective actions or product improvement with the Airbus design organization and the vendors,
·  Evaluating the cost impact upon the operators of various in-service problems,
·  Providing Customers with relevant technical information using all Customer Services appropriate means or media to improve their ATA Chapter system operation,
·  Providing Engineering support to other Customer Services departments,
·  Ensuring transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to the management, to other divisions of Customer Services and Airbus design organization including vendors,
·  Attending technical meetings with Customer engineering and maintenance organizations,
·  Carrying out complex technical matters with direct impact on safety or economic issues, etc,
·  Acting in an autonomous way without close supervision using their specialist knowledge.

This role will involve some travel for business twice a year worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Experience in hydro-mechanical systems,
·  Knowledge of ATA 27/29or 32would be a plus,
·  Knowledge of airlines operations would be a plus,
·  Ability to work within a team,
·  Ability to cope with a highly demanding environment.
·  Customer-service mind-set,
·  Good coordination and interpersonal skills for dealing with Customers, Design Offices, Vendors and other Airbus Industry departments,
·  Language skills: A negotiation level of English is expected for this position
