Description of the job

An Internship for Human factor - Innovative spatial representation in a cockpit (m/f) has arisen within the Airbus Operations SAS in its site of Saint-Martin.

Several ways of providing information may be used in cockpit to offer efficient information to the pilots according to the context and to their tasks.
Knowledge in cognitive psychology and human machine interface are required to explore different ways of presenting spatial orientation information in stressful situations.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks will be:
1/ The mission of the student will be to first work on a state of the art on Human Machine Interface that may be proposed to support human spatial orientation in aviation.

2/ As a second time, the candidate will have to choose some ways of presenting information and test it with different operators. The aim of the test will be to see which HMI could be the more intuitive for anticipation.

3/ Potentially an experiment carried out with users.

Internship length: 6 months

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following profile:

·  Enrolled in Master 2 level or equivalent,
·  Ideally specialised in Psychology and ergonomics of work.
·  Generic knowledge in psychology, Cognitive science, Statistics
·  Advanced level in English required. Advanced level in French required too.
