Description of the job
A vacancy for a Future Military Satellite Communication System Engineer (M/F) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse or Elancourt. You will join the frame of AIrbus Defence and Space strategic business developpment in the area of large satellite communication system for governmental and
military application.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include to support technically the Sales and strategy team in their interaction with potential future Customer with the view to define:
· The system requirement for governmental or military future secure satellite communication system
· The operational use case
· The main architectural option and trafe off, including comparative assessment of LEO/MEO/GEO constellations option, HTS Platform or smaller platfom (including Cubesat), ground segment architecture options, User terminal, Network management, Modem etc...
The technical support can range from very early prospective contact to Customer up to Bid preparation and submission
This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
You will have the following skills and experience:
· Educated to System engineering degree in Aerospace
· Knowledge in System engineering / Operational concept work experience on large Defense system program ( earth observation, Milsatcom, UAV, Satellite constellation...)
· Experience in international governmental cooperation would be a plus
· Another European language would be a plus ( French, German, Spanish ...)
· English as a working language
