Description of the job

A vacancy for a ‘Project and Repair Manager (m/f)' has arisen within Airbus Blagnac.

Airbus FHS is providing Component exchange program for maintenance purpose to Airlines.
In this fast growing business (+30% per year mini).

In a widely international environment, you will be accountable of the performance of Suppliers based in Malaysia, for Component repair Services, in term of Cost, Quality and Lead-time.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities, for Suppliers based in Malaysia and Indonesia, will include to:

1/ Repair management

·  Technical Assessment

You will ensure Supplier is respecting technical scope of repair requested in each repair order defined by FHS Engineering, and coordinate with them to in case of deviation noted, with the purpose of keeping reliability at its best.

·  Cost controlling

You will assess each and every Quotations, making sure this is compliant with contractual terms defined by Procurement.

You will negotiate price and challenge Suppliers on its cost base for the benefit of Airbus and its FHS Customers.
You will coordinate internal stakeholders to support you during negotiations and approval process.

If Damage is due to Airbus customer, you will prepare justification file to charge associated costs back to the Customer and communicate this justification to the Customer interface team.

·  Supply Chain Management

You will make sure the Supplier is respecting its contractual Shop Processing time for each repair order. You will have a real-time understanding on the on-going operations.

You will detect activate every corrective action defined in the contract, when a supplier does not respect the contractual Shop Processing time, such as requesting and obtaining standard exchange units.

You will be accountable for the implementation of the first level of corrective actions, in case of a non-respect of contractual obligations, identifying root causes of issues, initiates and follows up corrective actions, including at suppliers' facility.

You will be the main point of contact for Airbus AOG desk, to manage FHS customer's critical situations involving Repair suppliers.

You will report (formally and informally) on a regular basis to the Supplier manager on suppliers' performance.

You will contribute to improvement projects related to repair management.

·  Organizing regular operational meetings with repair shops to address open issues, repair status and data reconciliation.

2/ Knowledge Management Project Leader
Repair Management teams are spread over Europe, Asia and America, and need to share best practices and processes. To align way of working worldwide is requiring robust knowledge management tools and to share best practices. To address this issue, Airbus has implemented a major Project, consisting in developing a worldwide base of shared best practices and defining way of working with Suppliers.

In this Project, you will be in charge of work package data contain and working processes.
You will be in charge of assessing current ways of working over Regions, detect best practices and be the voice of users in the Project.

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following competencies & skills:

·  Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Aerospace (or equivalent),
·  2 years of experience in Component Repair Management in Aerospace industry
·  Good negotiation skills
·  Ability to work in autonomy in a changing environment
·  Ability to work with short deadlines
·  Team spirit with the ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment,
·  Fluent in Malaysia/Indonesia Bahasa and English for the Repair management role. French or Mandarin would be a plus.
·  Ability to lead a project in autonomy, in a multicultural environment.
·  Agility mindset and creativity for the project management role.

This role has been graded Position II (with opportunity to IIIA).
