Description of the job

A vacancy for a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.
Main perimeter of the activity is structure fuselage of Airbus A330 and A340 commercial aircraft.
You will join the Department in charge of the A330 Family Structure Design/Stress in the framework of the serial
activities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include :

¤ In charge of fatigue and damage tolerance analyses of aircraft fuselage structure
¤ Define fatigue maintenance program for A330 and A340 fleet
¤ Define grace period for fatigue maintenance tasks
¤ Contributing to Service Bulletin definition review prior dispatch to operators
¤ Support A330/A340 in service aircraft by answering in due time to queries from Repair department
¤ Answering in due time to various queries from Customers Support and airline engineering department
¤ Support the manufacturing department by answering to regular request from the Final Assembly Line in Toulouse, Saint-Nazaire and Nantes plants
¤ Analyze and produce risk assessment for In-Service Occurrences requested by Airbus certification department
¤ Support development team for derivative aircraft or new weight variant definition
¤ Project management including subcontracting activities

This role might involve some travels for business and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience :

Technical or Engineering degree or equivalent

Extensive experience in the field of aeronautical structure calculation
This experience will have been acquired in the extended Airbus company or in the Airbus subcontracting network.
The required technical competence is related to metallical structure calculations in the discipline of fatigue and damage tolerance.
Knowledge of Airbus methods and tools is desirable (ISAMI)
