Description of the job

The Global Market Forecast team is an integral part of the Strategic Marketing deparment. The team that conducts market research and market forecasting to contribute to business growth and internationalisation of Airbus DS. Most notably, we produce the annual Global Market Forecast for Airbus Defence and Space. The team generates Research and insights on our market segments - geographical, functional and customer - to abet Business growth. Our stakeholders are Business Growth, Regions, Strategy and other marketing departments. The team also develops and maintains databases and tools associated to the aforementioned tasks.

Tasks & accountabilities

As an Experienced Analyst in the Global Market Forecasting team, your main responsibilities will be:

·  Contributing and collaborating on activities related to the annual AD Global Market Forecast (GMF) and the annual Satellite Market Forecast
·  Conducting rigorous quantitative Analysis; programming and manipulation of very large data sets
·  Contributing to development of research methodology and the team toolkit. Your advanced ability to develop macros in MS Excel; programming with VB and Python to develop data frameworks would be crucial
·  Graphic and web design capability to help the team design infographics, videos, podcasts and expert presentations. Advanced knowledge of tools such as Photoshop, PowerPoint, Wordpress would be indispensible
·  Qualitative Research to abet quantitative Analysis to synthesise clear and actionable insights that are used to support Business growth and strategic initiatives (e.g. planning, business cases, International Market Development, sales campaigns etc.). An understanding of financial accounting statements would help you in
·  Supporting Portfolio Development by providing an independent market view for major new product and service development
·  Supporting Strategy Development by providing analysis of evolving industrial challenges, operational requirements and technological trends with the objective to identify and trigger investigation of potential new areas of growth
·  Scoping and managing projects within the team. Leading and organising meetings/workshops and a general ability for cross-team and cross-functional work

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Intermediate to advanced level skills: VB, MATLAB, Python, MS Excel. Other analytics skills would be a plus.
Sound understanding of aerospace theory, technology and markets is mandatory.
Intermediate to advanced level skills: VB, MATLAB, Python, MS Excel.
Any other quantitative Analysis skills would be a plus
English and Spanish: Fluent
Certification in digital marketing, analytics, financial analysis would be a plus.
