Description of the job

A vacancy for an Environmental & Electromagnetic Compatibility (ENV & EMC) Qualification Engineer (m/f) has arisen Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.
You will join the “Equipment Environment & Militarization” department, dedicated to Main Design Office.

The activity of the department includes Electromagnetic compatibility and Environmental integration of Equipment.

The activity is very transverse with multiple interfaces with the Design Office and external stakeholders.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will analyze contractual or regulatory requirements, installation constraints, and project context (technical, calendar, delay) to meet customers' needs.

You will be in charge of the following activities:

·  Specify, follow development phases and assess the system to be integrated for electromagnetic and environmental performance,
·  Assess the existing environment level in the integration zone on Helicopters, with support of 2D/3D modelling and later validation by test on helicopter,
·  Participate in the design of installation adaptations for Electromagnetic, Mechanical, and Thermal to ensure that the system will be able to function within the targeted performance,
·  Set up the demonstration process of conformity by including the necessary test routines on Helicopters,
·  Work on the different Helicopters versions including model developed in Germany, from old machines to latest developments.

This job will involve some travelling to suppliers' facilities, test laboratory, and Germany, so you will need to be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies:

·  Engineering Electronics and Electromagnetic background with at least 5 years of professional experience
·  Experience in Equipment development would be a plus,
·  Familiar with boundary element and finite differences modelling methods
·  Project management experience would be appreciated,
·  Accountability,
·  Rigor and Follow Standards,
·  Welcome Problems
·  Comfortable to work in international environment

Language: French and English advanced level
