Description of the job

A vacancy for a Dynamic System Stress Analysis has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. You will join the Stress Analysis for Transmission Department (ETMTA).
The successful candidate will be subject to security clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the Design office composed of a team of engineers, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Size the mechanical components of the gear boxes and transmissions parts during development phase and produce the detailed substantiations to provide to authorities, by answering objectives of safety, performance, manufacturing capability, structural integrity, maintainability and costs
·  Analyze stress values and substantiate the resistance of the parts under static and fatigue loads. Set up ground/flight test programs with test department in order to measure and analyze loads necessary to calculations
·  Analyze and solve under continuous airworthiness aspect, incidents occurring with the helicopters in service
·  Support technically all our internal customers (production, customer support, project…)
·  Manage activities on target delivery, costs and quality
·  Develop the scientific calculation methods and the fatigue calculation methods for metallic materials

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline with at least 3 to 5 years of overall experience
·  Competencies in mechanics general (functioning and behaviour of mechanical systems)
·  Technical competencies on substantiation by analysis and/or by finite elements models
·  Knowledge regarding SAMCEF, Hypermesh, Simcenter, CATIA V5 software's are appreciated
·  Your knowledge in fatigue and metallic materials is proven
·  Competencies in project management
·  Advanced level of French and English
·  You are dynamic, fond of mechanics and aeronautics and like to develop and exchange in a multi interfaces environment
