Description of the job

Are you passionate about IT, experienced in software development techniques and convinced by the business added value of the digitalization?
A vacancy for a DevOps Platform Owner has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Digital Accelerator a department of IM (Information Management Domain), in charge of IT solutions for Services domain.

The Digital Accelerator is an integral part of Airbus' IT department and is building and operating new business platforms and services adopting new technologies, automation, digital native skills and agile ways of working to accelerate our digitalization journey.
The Digital Accelerator is about making the benefits of digital technologies available to Airbus so we can bring value to market much faster, while retaining quality and scale. Specifically this means capitalizing on DevOps, Big Data, IoT, API & Integration and cloud technologies.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Shaping vision, strategy and the product roadmap, in support of our mission in relation to digitalization products (Cloud/BigData/IoT/DevOps),
·  Working closely with Cloud/DevOps Engineers to prioritize the delivery of product requirements based upon business needs and engineering efficiencies,
·  Working with the team to estimate, implement, and build features while ensuring that their effectiveness is measured.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You have a passion for technology and for action? You want to be a game changer able to make is ideas heard?

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline,
·  Test-driven coding abilities (Python, Go, Java, PowerShell, Bash or Javascript)
·  Strong experience in OS automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Stalstack, etc.)
·  Demonstrated DevOps experience including frameworks, approaches, tools and practices
·  Curious mind and strong team-player
·  You are adept at working with engineering teams to translate customer needs into workable technology solutions that scale operationally
·  You are comfortable with feature and requirements definition, customer interviews and surveys, metrics analysis, and competitive analysis
·  You are particularly adept at synthesizing these inputs into requirements definition
·  Strong analytical problem solving ability
·  Negotiation level of English
·  Advanced level of French would be a bonus
