Description of the job
A vacancy for a Detector development has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join inside the TSEIO2 Optical Instruments Electronics & Detection department, the TSEIO2-TL3 Detector Development team.
The TSEIO Optical Instrument division provides optical payloads for the various missions developed inside ENS (TSE). The eyes of the optical instrument are provided by the detectors, which are developed by various suppliers in Europe.
Detectors development requires various technological mastering in semiconductor physics, but also microelectronic, accurate mechanical assembly and also electro-optical testing.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Define Statement Of Work (SOW) and Requirement Specification (RS) for Detector Development to be sent to supplier in the frame of a Request For Proposal (RFP); you will be supported in this task by the project team and also by the opto-electronic commodity manager
• Organize and participate to meetings with Detector Suppliers to detail the Statement of Work and the Requirement Specification
• Work day to day inside a project team

Required skills
You will have the following skills and experience:
• Education: PhD in opto-electronic
• A deep knowledge of CMOS Image Sensor and other elector-optical sensors used for space applications will be appreciated
• An experience in developing / testing electro-optical devices for space applications is also a plus: testing visible or infra red devices, analysing test results
• the candidate shall demonstrate ability to work in English, writing/reading technical documents, and speaking face to face or by phone to exchange technical and programmatic information
• the candidate shall be able to work with supplier, animate meeting, taking minutes and managing actions list for Airbus and the supplier
• the candidate shall be able to interface with the customer, mainly people from space agendy: ESA, CNES or DLR, during meeting by the supplier premises or at Airbus premises
• the candidate shall be able to work at Airbus, inside a project team for day to day work
• Language Skills: advanced of English.
