Description of the job

The position is located in Cadarache.

The Applicant will be in charge of the developpement of nuclear safety activities within the context of the development of nuclear facilities with high safety issues.
The fields concerned are handling, treatment and storage of radioactives materials in civil nuclear programs.

Tasks & accountabilities

This for, he will carry out the following activites :

·  organization and answer of tender for dependability and/or nuclear safety activities
·  achievement of nuclear safety analysis design, modification or decommissioning of civil or research nuclear facility
·  nuclear risk and non-nuclear risk analysis associated (deterministic approach)
·  turn the design and manufacture choices towards the components with regard to the dependability and safety performances, taking into account the nuclear environment (radiation, criticality effects)
·  continuously communicates with the teams in charge of system engineering, design, dimensioning and manufacturing of the ground facilities and the equipments, in order to bring required dependability and safety inputs (specifications) and obtain expected outputs (justification datas)

Required skills

The position requires to be :

·  deeply involved with the engineering teams (of Airbus Safran Launchers and other industries), during all phases of development, manufacturing and utilization.
·  to be engineer, trained as non-specialized with a first experience in general nuclear safety design
·  A good knowledge about the french nuclear safety regulation (INB order, Components Important for Protection…)
·  Ability to perform some technical bid submission
·  General knowledge on mechanic and electrical design and about nuclear environment, in particular, effect of radiation, contamination, criticality effects
·  Writing and summarizing skills
·  Accreditation "French Eyes Only" (Eventually more restrictive level of accreditation will be required)
·  A skill in dependability (RAMS) activities will be an added value for this application
·  3 to 5 years experience.
·  Experience in Design of nuclear facility , nuclear safety, RAMS ==> less than 5 years

You have at minima participated to the writing of a Security Report, influencing a conception team in order the conception respects nuclear safety criteria.
