Description of the job

A new Data Mining Thesis Project has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. The successful candidate will join the Electrical System Design Office.

Today, one of the main strategic challenges for Airbus is digitalisation. One of the axes of digitalisation is "big data" in the broad sense: assembling a data warehouse and analysing this data with the aim of aiding decision making.

The Electrical System Design Office wishes to explore this data in order to optimise the system design and improve its service to airlines.

Today, data mining techniques are very useful and are determiners in decision-making assistance for various industries such as banking, insurance, marketing, telecommunications and even medicine. In the French aeronautical field, these techniques are used sporadically according to initiatives which are spontaneous and not coordinated. From now on, with the digitalisation strategy, Airbus can organise, coordinate and benefit from the analysis of this data.
