Job Description

Subject of the internship and expected results:

Within the frame of activities of Structures Engineering department, it can be asked to the candidate to :

- analyze damages on in-services airplanes reported by ATR operators which are outside the scope of the Structural repair Manual,

- analyze maintenance requests related to aircraft jacking/shoring/load relieving/specific inspections/…., …etc. .

- analyze airline recurrent queries relative to damage and maintenance issues.

On the basis of the results of above analysis and already existing repair instructions, then the objective will be to gather all data required to:

- produce generic repair instructions valid for all similar recurrent cases or improve existing ones.

- work with ATR’s databases to help ensure adequate knowledge management.

- Create tools and methods to automatize some repair instructions.

- to a certain extent, help providing consistent and timely technical support to customers.

Will possibly include interactions with customers, with stress office, repair drawing team, fleet support team and other ATR departments (customer support, spares engineering, safety, quality, etc.).

Desired start date and duration of the internship: February/March for 3 to 6 months.

Level of studies: Master 1 or 2 minimum

Training area: in structural or aeronautical engineering

Desired school:  IUT Génie Mécanique Tlse - IMA Bdx or equivalent, first years or final training of engineering schools

Technical skills:

Structures or mechanical engineering with knowledge of structures design, materials, fasteners and manufacturing process.

Relational skills:

·  Autonomous, rigorous and with good organizational skills.
·  Open minded, positive thinking, great team worker
·  Strong customers orientation

IT skills:

·  Microsoft Office
·  Interest in coding development (VBA) (optional)

Language skills:

English (B1)
